While we strive to provide ongoing support, this service is subject to fair and reasonable use.
- Support is provided on an occasional and reasonable basis to assist with hardware and software issues directly related to a product purchased from DTEC Computers.
- Excessive, repeated, or unreasonable use of the service may result in the withdrawal of lifetime technical support.
- Examples of misuse include, but are not limited to:
- Frequent and repeated requests beyond a reasonable level of support.
- Seeking support for third-party software or services not supplied by DTEC Computers.
- Requesting assistance for issues caused by customer negligence or third-party interference.
- Repeated requests for the same issue after solutions have been provided.
- Remote support sessions exceeding 15 minutes – If an issue cannot be resolved within a 15-minute remote support session, any additional time may be chargeable at DTEC Computers’ discretion based on our standard support rates.
- Support Limitations
- Support is limited to the original purchaser of the device and is non-transferable.
- Support covers technical advice and troubleshooting but does not include:
- On-site visits
- Data recovery services
- Repair or replacement of hardware (unless covered by warranty)
- Training or tuition on general computer usage
- Software repairs that would normally be a chargeable service (e.g., virus/malware removal, operating system reinstalls, software corruption fixes)
- Without Prejudice
- These terms and conditions are issued without prejudice, meaning they do not limit or waive DTEC Computers’ right to assess technical support requests on a case-by-case basis.
- DTEC Computers reserves the right to refuse or withdraw support at its discretion if the fair usage policy is exceeded.
- Changes to the Policy
DTEC Computers reserves the right to modify or discontinue the lifetime technical support service at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be reflected in an updated version of these Terms & Conditions.
